About Munich Composites
Founded in 2011
As a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich, Munich Composites became a technology leader in various automated processes for the production of composite components. Munich Composites developed an automated braided carbon fiber rim, which has been in production since 2013.
In 2024 new ownership took over the bicycle rim division within Munich Composites, expanding production within Europe and setting up a new state of the art facility in Spartanburg County, South Carolina in the United States. With automated carbon fiber production on two continents, Munich Composites can serve customers with faster production, shorter time in transit, and improved supply chain logistics.
